Between 2008 and 2011 we received funding from Natural England to support its work linked to the delivery of Coastal Habitat Action Plans, to provide training, guidance, networking and access to published and unpublished research.

Support from the Higher Education Funding Council for England

The development of the Sand Dune and Shingle Network has been supported by the Higher Education Funding Council for England through the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF). In 2006 initial funding was secured through the HEIF3 round to develop the Network and in 2008 additional funding was secured through HEIF4 to develop a specific project which focused on the sustainable management of links golf courses. In 2009 funding was secured through HEIF5 to continue the Network to 2011. Further funding was provided through HEIF6 to work with a statutory agency and develop guidelines for dune and beach management.
